The Shrubbery, Nr Lyme Regis

Lyme RegisWe stayed here with friends and visited Lyme Regis in 2010

The facilities were not fully accessible but useable The site was pleasant and well positioned. It's high up on the hill so somewhat exposed to the wind.  Grass site with some hardstandings.  Well spaced out.

We went here again April 2013 when visiting the Exeter Food Festival which was excellent and somewhat fattening. Lovely cubicles for the able bodied in the reception block.

Old Cotmore Farm, nr Slapton Sands

We stayed here primarily to catch stage 8 of the Tour of Britain and a glimpse of Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish.  A very pleasant small site. Only just accessible with help toilet facilities.

We had some delightful seafood at a beach side eatery at Beesands

Littlehampton Caravan Club site

We stayed here to visit Brighton and the Amberly Chalk Pits Museum which I have always enjoyed and which is nearly all accessible.

The site was OK.  Somewhat cramped, manouvering could be difficult.

We had a supurb meal with excellent service at the Goerge and Dragon at Houghton, near the Museum.

Chertsey Camping & Caravanning Club site

The Oxford and Cambridge Boat RaceWe stayed here when going to the Oxford v Cambridge boat race.

The site was rather bumpy, lots of tree roots.  Continuous slight motorway noise, under the flight path for Heathrow and next to a big weir on the thames.

Facilities were quite good for wheelchair access. Click her for a map.

Blagdon Fruit Farm

This was a really pleasant Camping and Caravanning Club certified site.

There was mains power, the pitches were on a little bit of a slope and the toilets were down the track and not very wheelchair friendly. Click here for a map

We have a long weekend here with our daughter and visited Weymouth.

I would recommend the site for peace and quiet and easy access to Weymouth and Portland.

Ashurst, New Forest

Beautiful site in the forest with ponies and, late in the season, pigs wandering through.

The view from the kitchen window tells the tale.

No electric hook-up but reasonable facilities and fantastic access to the forest.

Oxford. Visited in June 2009. Did lots of Oxford, Warwick Castle etc.

This was a Camping & Caravaning club site which, at the time, did not have disabled facilities but I believe it is OK now.

It is possible to walk to the town centre up the side of the river which is very pleasant.

Tanner Farm Park, Goudhurst.

Had a great week in Kent.

This is a fairly level site very well spaced out and quiet.  Good for visiting most of Kent.  One day we went to the Chatham dockyards and visited the rope makiers there who still make hemp ropes in a traditional ropery.

Red Shoot, New Forest

Pub and Camp site. Facilities mediocre, pub nice, noisy campers. Pitch so far from power outlet we needed an extension lead.
